FullBucket Equine Foal Kick Start Paste
A foal’s immune system is poorly equipped at birth to mount an attack on pathogens such as Salmonella, Clostridium, E. coli, Rotavirus or other microbes.
It relies on the mare’s colostrum to prevent infection until the foal’s immune system has had time to produce its own antibodies.
Sometimes the foal does not ingest enough colostrum or the colostrum is of insufficient quality to provide the necessary protection. And, sometimes the amount of disease causing microbes are so numerous that a normal dose of colostrum doesn’t provide adequate immunity.
These are times that a supplement boost is most helpful.
Suggested use:
Give by mouth to support natural gut defenses. Colostrum intake should be verified by a veterinarian. This is not an equine colostrum replacement.
Feeding Instructions:
At birth: 40 cc
6 to 8 hours: 40 cc
